Prominent astronomer and thinker Emeritus Professor Rawee Pawilai died peacefully in the early hours of Friday at the age of 91 years. Prof Rawee was a member of Thailand's Royal Institute and president of the Thai Astronomical Society. By profession, Prof Rawee was a lecturer at Chulalongkorn's faculty of physics, where he started working at the age of 19 and stayed until his retirement in 1986. Prof Rawee had three children.
